Thanks a lot for your feedback. It helped me a lot. I tried to combine
all of your critique and used elements of both graphics for the new one.
Now, the (new) right one is my favourite - it is as clear as the (old)
left one but is colourised and has a small and clear shadow. I did not
want to deprive you of seeing the (new) left one, but it I don't like it
that much. :)
For all of you who want to be prepared for beta testing tomorrow - here's a little help. Check the teeworlds.com post of inherited for updates - later you will get download links and all needed information about beta testing. The special client is obligatory!!!11eleven
How to win: Your team will win a match if no tee of the opponent team can respawn. There are two possibilities to do that:
1. Destroy all of the hostile spawn points and kill all enemies
2. Destroy the energy supply of your opponent’s spawn points and kill all enemies.
Wrench
The wrench can be used as a hammer to hit your enemies, but it is your tool to put up the buildings. First of all choose a building via the building menu (press CTRL and move your mouse over the building you want to create). Then simply press and hold your fire button. To put up buildings you need buildings points.
If your buildings are damaged, you can repair them by pressing the fire button.
Press CTRL to see which places on the map are supplied with energy. Only in the green area you can create buildings.
Tech level
There are three tech levels. Each one enables you to build certain buildings. A higher tech level can be reached by killing other hostile tees. Press TAB to see how many kills are needed to upgrade.
Unhookables
These unhookables will be removed if you reach a certain tech level.
Reactor
This most important building is needed to raise other buildings and to supply your base & repeaters with energy. There can only be one reactor at the same time.
Spawn Point
It allows your team to spawn there. If there are no spawns and no players left your team will lose. So take care of them!
Ammo Dispenser I
It supplies your team with shotguns and ammunition.
Health Station
It replenishes your health in case of medical emergencies.
Repeater
This mini reactor enables you to put up buildings at any other spot on the map. To supply your buildings with energy it needs an operating reactor.
Turret I
This gun shoots automatically at enemies. It has a high range and fire rate, but causes low damage. Be careful: it might hurt your teammates as well!
Shield Generator
It protects friendly players and buildings from hostile projectiles by tossing them back to their senders. Attention: Lasers can shoot through it.
Ammo Dispenser II
It supplies your team with grenade launchers and ammunition.
Teleporter
It provides faster-than-light travelling between two of them. Only two of them can be build.
Armor Station
It supplies you with a protective armor against all kinds of weapons.
Ammo Dispenser III
It supplies your team with laser weapons and ammunition. Do not forget: laser beams will not be blocked by shields!
Turret II
This shotgun shoots automatically at enemies It causes high damage, but has a low range of fire. Be careful: it might
hurt your teammates as well!

Jeez hell, it was difficult to make it visible at my firefox and internet explorer. I had to delete the whole internal favicon database. :-/ Check your cache to make it visible, too. If I find the time somewhen I will make one with a transparent background.
We did the first public alpha testing this eve. Sorry that I could not
publish the date at this blog as it was an ad-hoc testing. We'll tweak
some parts and do a public beta test this weekend. Stay tuned ....
This is my concept of the respawn points of nodes. It looks a bit
different ingame, because of the resizing; but this is a great
opportunity to get an impression of the animation.
edit: i have to ask inherited if it is possible to use the door animation as an overlay. Then the floating of the bubbles and baby tees will not stop when the door opens. :)
There are a lot of ideas I have in mind which only wait to find the time to get painted. What I've always wanted to draw were some good space doodads. I think teeworlds is lacking a well done space theme. The first thing I've drawn is a rocket that replaces the cute spherical house from the grass-doodads in space. I'll show you both, the final result in front of a transparent background as well as in front of a blue one, so one can enjoy the transparency effects ^^ Lappi As a bonus you may take a look at the creation steps of the rocket's control board.
Finally we've done it! Several members of the teeworlds community created a very nice article in the arch linux user magazine. Grab your copy and love it! This is how collaboration is done. ;)
